Smart&Start Italia supports the birth and growth of innovative startups throughout Italy. It finances projects of between 100,000 and 1.5 million euros, covering investment and management costs. The application can only be submitted online
WHO CAN APPLY
Smart&Start Italia supports the birth and growth of innovative startups throughout Italy.
Who can apply for funding:
Small innovative startups, established no more than 60 months ago. A startup is considered innovative if:
is a corporation established no more than 60 months ago
offers innovative products or services with high technological content
has a production value of up to 5 million euros
Teams of individuals who want to set up an innovative startup in Italy, even if they are resident abroad or of foreign nationality
Smart&Start Italia finances the birth and growth of innovative startups that:
-have a strong technological content
-operate in the digital economy
-Valorise research results (spin-off from research).
Projects with expenses between 100,000 euros and 1.5 million euros are eligible for funding.
ADVANTAGES:
An interest-free loan up to 70% of the total investment. The percentage of funding can rise to 80% if the startup is made up exclusively of women or young people under 35 years, or if there is at least one Italian PhD working abroad and wants to return to Italy;
a non-repayable contribution equal to 20% of the loan, only for startups based in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily.
Startups established for less than a year can count on technical and managerial assistance in the start-up phase (financial planning, marketing, organization, etc.).
